Profile Summary

Dr. Narendra Pamidi completed his Master of Medical Anatomy (Kasturba Medical College) and PhD in Diabetes and Neuroscience from Manipal University. Dr. Narendra has broad range of teaching and research experience as an Assistant Professor in various medical schools in India (KMC & MMMC: Manipal). He taught clinically oriented anatomy for MBBS, BDS, Allied health, Biomedical and Nursing courses. He has joined Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences in 2013. He has received the TJPS College Topper Award and Certificate for excellent academic performance in his undergraduate studies (1999). His passion and interest in anatomy education and research was recognized with an “Annual best audio-visual award” (2009) and several ‘Research Incentive Awards’ and consistently ranked under the ‘Best teachers’ category. He is an invited external examiner for various medical schools. Dr. Narendra consistently secures outstanding Students Evaluation of Teaching Units (SETU) in JSCMHS, Monash University Malaysia.

Dr. Narendra has published more than 50 research papers, case series and case reports in various peer-reviewed journals in the areas of diabetes, neuroscience and variant anatomy of the human body. He is an editorial board member and reviewer for several medical journals. Dr. Narendra is successful in securing various internal and external research grants (FRGS) in the research areas of diabetes & neuroscience. He has supervised several medical research projects and his students secured first places in various presentations. He is currently studying on the therapeutic use of environmental enrichment exposure on diabetic and stressed brain.
